What’s in the jar? 100% raw, organic black sesame seeds, sprouted and stone-ground to creamy perfection. Enjoy the rich, smoky flavor of our Black Sesame Tahini drizzled on fruit or ice cream, folded into hummus or noodles, in raw or baked treats, or in your favorite recipe!

Black sesame seeds are packed with nutrients that strengthen the skin, bones, and immune system. Black Sesame Tahini is high in vitamin E, calcium, iron, and magnesium, and it’s also a good source of zinc, Vitamin B1, molybdenum, selenium, copper, and manganese. Like many nuts and seeds, black sesame seeds contain phytosterols, which are proven to lower blood cholesterol levels-- but unique to sesame seeds is sesamol, a powerful antioxidant.

Our Better Than Roasted (BTR) sprouting process maximizes the bioavailability of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in our sesame seeds. It also removes bitterness and concentrates flavor, yielding a sweeter, more easily digestible, and more flavorful seed. Read more about our BTR process HERE.

We stone-grind our black sesame seeds slowly at low temperatures for the smoothest, most nutritious nut butter possible-- after all, that’s how nut butter was first made. Read more about the benefits of stone-grinding HERE.

FUN FACT! Traditional Chinese medicine considers black sesame seeds good for hair health and overall body strength. Sweet black sesame soup is a popular breakfast in China.
