Why are pumpkin seeds green? Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll alkalizes and detoxes the body, and pumpkin seeds have more of it than any other nut or seed. They’re also an excellent source of manganese, phosphorus, copper, and zinc. Naturally antimicrobial pumpkin seeds are a good source of iron and protein, including the brain-boosting essential amino acid tryptophan. Plus, they contain a diversity of antioxidants not found in most foods, including disease-fighting polyphenols, hormone-balancing lignans, and vitamin E.

Our Better Than Roasted (BTR) sprouting process maximizes the bioavailability of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in our pumpkin seeds. It also removes bitterness and concentrates flavor, yielding a sweeter, more easily digestible, and more flavorful seed. Read more about our BTR process HERE.

We stone-grind our pumpkin seeds slowly at low temperatures for the smoothest, most nutritious butter possible-- after all, that’s how nut butter was first made. Read more about the benefits of stone-grinding HERE.

FUN FACT! Some Native American tribes considered pumpkin seeds both a medicine for the gut and a delicacy. The Mayans, for example, ate sikil pak, a delicious dip made of pumpkin seeds, onions and jalapenos.

Shelf life: One year if properly stored

Storage: Store in a cool, dry, dark area. If stored at room temperature, oil may separate--stir before you enjoy! Sprouted nut and seed butters can be refrigerated or frozen to extend freshness.
