What Makes It Special
Hazelnuts have long played second fiddle to chocolate, but our Organic Raw Sprouted Hazelnut Butter gives them the spotlight they deserve! We stone-grind 100% raw, organic sprouted hazelnuts into a smooth, bittersweet butter perfect for smoothies, sandwiches, pilafs, fruit, ice cream, and even straight from the jar—or paired with chocolate for a decadent treat.
Nutrient Benefits
Sprouted hazelnuts are a nutritional powerhouse, high in vitamin E for skin health, copper for iron absorption, and manganese for bone support. They also provide magnesium, brain-boosting flavonoids, and folate — a B vitamin that supports heart health and mood. With protein, fiber, and heart-healthy unsaturated fats, this butter is a satisfying, nourishing snack.
Better Than Roasted (BTR) Process
Our BTR sprouting process maximizes the bioavailability of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in our hazelnuts. It removes bitterness and concentrates flavor, yielding a sweeter, more digestible, and more flavorful nut. We stone-grind our hazelnuts slowly at low temperatures to preserve nutrients and create the smoothest, most nutritious nut butter possible.
Fun Fact
While we now source organic hazelnuts from out of state, the people of the Blue Ridge Mountains once gathered wild hazelnuts from the forest and prized them for their taste. Traditionally, they dropped them into kids’ stockings or paired them with foraged morels for a toothsome treat.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, dark area for up to one year. If stored at room temperature, oil may separate—stir before enjoying. Sprouted nut and seed butters can also be refrigerated or frozen to extend freshness.
