What Makes It Special
Miniature but mighty, pine nuts are prized for their rich, buttery flavor. We sprout and stone-grind 100% raw, organic pine nuts to creamy perfection, making it easy to enjoy their fine taste and nutrition in pasta, soups, sandwiches, raw treats, cakes, and more. Feeling adventurous? Make extra-creamy pesto or ice cream. If not, our sprouted Pine Nut Butter is delicious straight from the jar!
Nutrient Benefits
Just an ounce of pine nuts provides your full daily value of manganese, essential for bone and cognitive health. They are also a good source of antioxidant vitamins E and K, zinc, magnesium, iron, phosphorus, and copper. Enjoy heart-healthy fats and essential nutrients with every spoonful.
Better Than Roasted (BTR) Process
Our BTR sprouting process maximizes the bioavailability of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in our pine nuts. It removes bitterness and concentrates flavor, yielding a sweeter, more digestible, and more flavorful nut. We stone-grind our pine nuts slowly at low temperatures for the smoothest, most nutritious nut butter possible.
Fun Fact
Pine nuts were a staple food for Native Americans of the Great Basin for 10,000 years. The nutritious nuts were the year’s last big harvest, and ample reserves meant a winter’s worth of nourishing pine nut flour, porridge, and sweets.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, dark area for up to one year. If stored at room temperature, oil may separate—stir before enjoying. Sprouted nut and seed butters can also be refrigerated or frozen to extend freshness.
