What Makes It Special
Our Sprouted Pumpkin Seed Butter is made from 100% raw, organic pumpkin seeds, stone-ground to creamy perfection. Enjoy it in smoothies, sandwiches, raw treats, on fruit, ice cream, crackers, or simply straight from the jar for a wholesome snack.
Nutrient Benefits
Pumpkin seeds get their vibrant green color from chlorophyll, which helps alkalize and detoxify the body. They are also rich in manganese, phosphorus, copper, and zinc. Naturally antimicrobial, these seeds provide iron, protein, and the brain-boosting amino acid tryptophan. They also contain diverse antioxidants including polyphenols, lignans, and vitamin E, supporting overall health and wellness.
Better Than Roasted (BTR) Process
Our BTR sprouting process maximizes the bioavailability of essential vitamins, minerals, and nutrients in our pumpkin seeds. It removes bitterness and concentrates flavor, yielding a sweeter, more easily digestible, and more flavorful seed.
Stone-Ground Goodness
We stone-grind our pumpkin seeds slowly at low temperatures for the smoothest, most nutritious butter possible—just as nut butter was first made.
Fun Fact
Some Native American tribes considered pumpkin seeds both a medicine for the gut and a delicacy. The Mayans, for example, enjoyed sikil pak, a dip made from pumpkin seeds, onions, and jalapenos.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry, dark area for up to one year. If stored at room temperature, oil may separate—stir before enjoying. Sprouted nut and seed butters can also be refrigerated or frozen to extend freshness.
